The fork in the road with AI

I love this conversation so much on so many levels;

1. none of them have any reason to lie to just make something a bigger deal than it is. aka this AI just trending AI click bait.

2. its a moment in history time stamped, that is signaling loud and clear to people of color, that if u felt boxed out, this is your time to use this new technology to box back.

ive been telling friends since last year before the i launched Office Hours ATX, the power, and have been using my socials to test certain things out and show its capabilities, from content creation, (which im now pivoting to call media creation) to voice over scripts, to even applying for winning grants. but i get it.. im a lil out there, haha. but this convo is special, because each of them have a speciality. we know Van Jones as an author and in politics and on the news n shit, John Hope Bryant is literally always giving the game about building wealth through personal stories and living what he talks. and im just learning about Sheldon Gilbert, but he made some points that i didn't even think about.

thats why we gotta stay curious. i think thats a determining factor of being an afrofuturist is staying curious. about the future, about the real truth of things. about how systems function. just follow that curiosity, and surprise your self. its ok to be ignorant at some point, but choosing to stay ignorant/ close minded is a choice. im not on that.

anyway. AI is pretty cool, and a powerful tool i think that can literally uplift human consciousness and in turn our civilizations, and societies if the conscious humans, are co creating (like we already are with the universe) with this new tool, that has immense capacity to be of assistance. who wouldn't want assistants that can help you do the things you aren't passionate about, that usually leads to frustration and procrastination. thats why i feel indie artists for sure need to be using AI in some way.
